Palmeira no Olho da Minha Mente
LAMB Gallery’s exhibition highlights artists from indigenous communities in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela, whose works reflect the rhythms, forms, and sacred geometries of the Amazon rainforest. Drawing from ancestral knowledge and memory, the artists—Chico da Silva, Jaider Esbell, Sheroanawe Hakihiiwe, Abel Rodríguez, and the Silät collective—express a deep connection to their communities, emphasizing the link between cultural preservation and environmental protection. Their art explores cosmology and the interdependence between human life and nature, passed down through generations. From Da Silva’s vibrant depictions of biodiversity to Hakihiiwe’s minimalist Yanomami-inspired symbols and Silät’s woven narratives, each artist channels their heritage into a unique visual language.
