Installation “Time”, by Jacqueline Terpins
In 2019, during SP-Arte, designer Jacqueline Terpins presented a long duration installation, revisiting a work from 1995, exhibited at Galeria Nara Roesler, in São Paulo. “Time” was made of a huge ice block weighing 1 ton, resting on a delicate iron structure. While it melted slowly, the piece formed a water mirror that invited the public to reflect upon the finitude of things and of the artwork itself. During the final days of the Festival, a video of the artwork coming apart was projected on the water that was assembled from the melting. The installation was mounted on the third floor, dedicated to design.
