Talks SP-Arte 2019 – Novas narrativas curatoriais no Brasil? - SP-Arte
The anthropologists Hélio Menezes e Lilla Schwarcz, from the curator team of the “Histórias afro-atlânticas” [Afro-Atlantic Stories] (Masp) exhibition, and Diane Lima, the Valongo International Festival of Images’ (2018) curator, commented on the inclusion of artists that have been excluded in the canonized narrative of art history thus far. This pursuit has resonated with the visibility of researchers that have dedicated themselves to the subject and curators that have focused on this revision, from smaller to bigger institutionalized exhibitions.
