SP-Arte/Foto is always in search of ways to tight the bonds between the players in the art circuit, via actions earmarked for artists, curators, institutions and galleries. Those initiatives leverage continued education opportunities through residency grants and development of creative projects.
OMA Open Call for Curators
To celebrate it’s 5th anniversary, OMA Gallery launched at SP-Arte/Foto/2018 the OMA Open Call for Curators, focused on young professionals. The gallery will give a financial prize of R$ 5.000 and it will take care of all stages of an exhibition conceived by the winner – that shall be hold in the gallery’s facilities.

Residency Prize
In partnership with SP-Arte, Kaaysá Art Residency offers a one month stay at Boiçucanga (upstate São Paulo) to one of the artists represented by SP-Arte/Foto/2018’s exhibitors. The winner will be tutored by the curator Rubens Fernandes Júnior, and by the residency coordinators, Lucila Mantovani e Lourdina Jean Rabieh. The artist Daniel Jablonski, represented by Galeria Janaina Torres, was the winner of this edition.
