SP-Arte is recognized for promoting various encounters, which are not limited to the event space- these encounters take place among the works, the public, texts and images.

In collaboration with the Brazilian art magazines seLect and Zum, as well as the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo, SP-Arte/Foto’s panel discussions presented photographers, artists and critics held in Livraria da Vila’s auditorium on the second floor of the Shopping JK Iguatemi.

SP-Arte also presented a carefully curated selection of vintage photographs from Brazil during the 1950s and 1960s. The exhibition, Paulo, José e Ademar | 3 modernos was curated by Isabel Amado and Iatã Cannabrava, with a text written by Christine Mello.

In addition to the cultural program offered to the public, SP-Arte brought Brazilian and foreign photography curators: Shoair Mavlian from Tate Modern, London and Leo Rubinfien, curator of the retrospective of Garry Winogrand.
