SP-Arte/Foto and ARTE!Brasileiros promote series of debates Talks/Foto: Reflexões

SP-Arte/Foto, in partnership with ARTE!Brasileiros magazine, promotes the series of conversations of its 2015 edition: Talks/Foto: Reflexões.

Photography has been featured in biennials, art fairs, and, increasingly, its imagery becomes the object of academic thought. To discuss this issue, SP-Arte/Foto/2015 has organized a series of talks on August 20th an 21st at JK Iguatemi shopping mall, in São Paulo. Enrolment for the event is free and can be made from July 27 through the site brasileiros.com.br.

17h: Sarah Meister, curator for 18 years in MoMA’s department of photography. Mediation: Simonetta Persichetti, journalist and special editor for ARTE!Brasileiros

August 21st (Friday)

17h: Sergio Burgi, photography coordinator for IMS – Instituto Moreira Salles
18h30: Georgia Quintas, anthropologist and curator, plus special presentation of the documentary “Visões Amazônicas”, by João Farkas. Mediation: Simonetta Persichetti
