Sarah Meister, MoMA's photography curator, is a special guest for SP-Arte/Foto/2015

22 Jul 2015, 9:17 am

A curator for 18 years in MoMA’s department of photography – one of the first museums in the world to have created a photographic collection – Sarah Meister will bring her experience to the Talks/Foto: Reflexões, on Thursday (August 20th).

Photography has been featured in biennials, art fairs, and, increasingly, its imagery becomes the object of academic thought. To discuss this issue, SP-Arte/Foto in partnership with ARTE!Brasileiros magazine has organized a series of talks on August 20th an 21st at JK Iguatemi, in São Paulo.

Enrolment for the event is free and can be made from July 27 at brasileiros.com.br.

Catalog

Meister has prepared a special article for the catalog of SP-Arte/Foto/2015 about Brazilian photography in MoMA’s collection. The new edition of the publication has gained a new book format, with features about photography and recent debates.
