Ingrid Donat

1957

About

Ingrid Donat is a French-Swedish artist born in 1957. Donat draws upon a diverse range of decorating influences including tribal tattooing. The works of Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, and Armand-Albert Rateau have inspired the characters and intricate patterns in her art. Donat crosses time without ever anchoring herself in the trends of the moment.

Among the national and international exhibitions in which she participated are “Meubles Sculptures d’Ingrid Donat” (1998), at Galerie Bernard Dulon, Paris; “Pavillon des Antiquaires et des Beaux Arts” (2004), in Paris; “Design Miami/Basel” (2011), Switzerland; and “Art021 Shanghai” (2019), at Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Shanghai.

Her works are part of important collections such as Art of the Twentieth Century, New York and Fondation Louise T Blouin, London.
