About

Painter, draftsman, printmaker. He began his journey in painting as a self-taught artist. In 1941, in Fortaleza, he participated in the creation of the Centro Cultural de Belas Artes - CCBA, alongside Mário Baratta (1915-1983) and others. The CCBA later gave rise to the Sociedade Cearense de Artes Plásticas - SCAP in 1943. In 1945, he relocated to Rio de Janeiro, and in the following year, he had his first solo exhibition at the Instituto dos Arquitetos do Brasil - IAB/RJ.
