Anna Helena Cazzani

Brazil, 1978

About

Anna Helena Cazzani was born in Rio de Janeiro, in 1978, where she lives and works. Her work challenges the threshold between drawing and sculpture. In her artistic work she uses lines, which gain volume and dimensionality, to draw in space. The impact of architecture marks her work, which could be referred to as “drawing-installation”.

Among the national and international exhibitions in which she participated is the individual “[espaço] entre”, at Galeria de Arte Maria de Lourdes de Almeida (Rio de Janeiro, 2015); and the group shows “Tempo tempo tempo”, at EAV Parque Lage (Rio de Janeiro, 2010), “Coletiva 2017”, at Galeria de Arte Maria de Lourdes Mendes de Almeida (Rio de Janeiro, 2017), and “De pedras a pássaros: direções e sentidos”, at OÁ Galeria (Vitória, Espírito Santo, 2019).
