WENTZ is a Brazilian brand of furniture, lighting and home accessories that through a simple and contemporary perspective extols the “terra brasilis” and its tropicality, transforming environments into contemplative extensions of nature.
In 2016, the up and coming designer Guilherme Wentz designed his first independent collection. Within a year his collection was already available in main design stores in Brazil and the US. With the success of his first line, he decided to launch WENTZ in 2018, and opened a commercial office in San Francisco, CA. In a few months, the label was chosen by T Magazine, from the New York Times as “one of the six design studios in Latin America to know.”
The label has become known for its contemporary feel and simplicity of form. “The sensation of movement and balance in static objects is the starting point and inspiration for my creations,” says Wentz, whose pieces are also carried by New York City-based gallery and showroom Matter.
In 2019, the Brazilian design, lighting and furniture label WENTZ opens its first concept store in São Paulo. The new 150m2 store was designed by the Brazilian architect Felipe Hess with the aim of translating Wentz’s aesthetic, and according to Guilherme Wentz, “to find peace and tranquility amidst the urban chaos.”
