Piscina is a virtual platform focused on women artists and art professionals. Created in 2015, Piscina was one of the first art platforms operating in social media, consolidating itself as a virtual reference of art made by women in Brazil. Currently coordinated by Paula Plee, the project was created in 2015 with Ana Luiza Fortes e Nataly Callai.
Currently, besides being a platform for the dissemination of content, we seek to consolidate networks with galleries, collectives, platforms and professionals in the art world, establishing bridges and starting new dialogues. In this sense, the platform aims – from now on – to welcome and open its space to artists of other gender identities and dissidences. We believe that it is urgent to create spaces of equity and inclusion.
Among the main activities developed by the platform are: research and creation of content about women artists, production and curating of exhibitions; publications and editorial projects; mediation between artists and opportunities and promotion and production of cultural events.
