Anita Schwartz Galeria de Arte
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Anita Schwartz Galeria de Arte is founded in 2013 with the goal of bringing the public closer to contemporary art, promoting programs of solo and group exhibitions, meetings and conversations with curators, collectors and guest artists.
Since the mid-1980s, Anita Schwartz has actively participated in building and consolidating the careers of artists with timeless productions, supporting their professional development and the projection and recognition of their poetics, through partnerships with galleries, museums and international cultural institutions and participation in major contemporary art fairs.
Currently, among its activities, we highlight the incentive to exchanges and intersections between emerging artists and represented artists, Brazilian and foreigners, promoting new aesthetic experiences that seek to intensify dialogues between different geopolitical contexts for the dissemination and exchange of cultural knowledge.
The Gallery's collection includes works by important Brazilian artists such as Abraham Palatnik, Antonio Manuel, Farnese de Andrade, Frans Krajcberg, Ivens Machado, Waltercio Caldas, Wanda Pimentel, and Yolanda Freyre.
