Artworks
Work of the most significant phase in the production of Cícero Dias. From the effervescent 20's, this watercolor - wrapped in dreamlike elements representing the artist's universe - the sea, friends, birds, music - is a masterpiece of realization and allegory.
The work was a gift from Cícero Dias to his friend and patron of the Modern Art Week, Olivia Guedes Penteado. Underneath is the artist's handwritten dedication to Dona Olívia - which gives the watercolor both historical relevance and added charm. Dedication: "To D. Olivia Penteado with admiration of Cícero Dias, São Paulo, 1928
