From a visual tangle, "Evocative Recollections" mixes painting, photography and collage. A recurrent theme in Gretta Sarfaty's work, the female body is contained, albeit under a delicate lace weave. The work derives from the homonymous photographic series, in which the artist is portrayed naked, lying on her bed with a cat, while a veil covers the scene – which places the public in the position of a voyeur.
