Flat tapestry, executed in wool on the loom by ATELIER DOUCHEZ-NICOLA, with the Atelier logo in the upper left corner, entitled "THE EGYPTIAN BARK" created by the artist JACQUES DOUCHEZ(1921,France/2012,Brazil). It was part of the first exhibition of tapestries of this Atelier held at the Sistina Gallery in 1961 in São Paulo. Jacques Douchez was one of the most important artists in Brazil in the movement generated by Samsom Flexor ATELIER ABSTRACTION. His biography and chronology are part of the book ARTISTS DA TAPEÇARIA MODERNA, published by the gallery PASSADO COMPOSTO SÉCULO XX in 2012.
