Bruno Cançado’s (Belo Horizonte, Brazil, 1981) work is based on architecture and how it intertwines the landscape, the public sphere, and the domestic life. The materiality of many of his sculptures are often transfigured by the suggestion of another distinct materiality, proposing a game with preestablished senses and displacing our experience of what is familiar.
