Renata Felinto


About

Renata Felinto was born in São Paulo, in 1978, and lives and works in Crato, Ceará. She is a visual artist, PhD and Master in Visual Arts from the Institute of Arts of UNESP. Specialist in Curatorship and Education in Art Museums by the Museum of Contemporary Art of USP. Associate Professor at Universidade Regional do Cariri/CE and leader of the NZINGA - Novos Ziriguiduns (Inter)Nacionais Gerados na Arte research group.

Among the national and international exhibitions in which he participated are “Negros indícios”, at Caixa Cultural (São Paulo, 2017), “Diálogos Ausentes” at Itaú Cultural (São Paulo, 2016) and Galpão Bela Maré (Rio de Janeiro, 2017), and “Histórias Afro-Atlânticas”, at Instituto Tomie Ohtake (São Paulo, 2018).

His work integrates important institutional collections such as Museu Afro Brasil, Casa Oscar Niemeyer (Universidade Federal de Brasília), Centro Cultural São Paulo and PENN Museum (Pennsylvania University, EUA).
