Nacho Carbonell

About

Nacho Carbonell was born in Spain in 1980 and now based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. He graduated in 2003 from Cardenal Herrera University in Spain and went on to study at the Design Academy Eindhoven. Carbonell is known for his tactile approach to sculpture which plays with textures, experimental techniques, and natural materials.

Among the national and international exhibitions in which he participated are “Por las Ramas”, at Circulo de Bellas Artes, Madrid; “Diversity”, at Design Miami/Basel, Miami; Tefaf New York Spring, at Carpenters Workshop Gallery, New York; and “Dark Fantasy”, at Carpenters Workshop Gallery x UTA Artist Space, Los Angeles.

Received the awards “Valencia Furniture Fair” (2007) and “Designer of the Future” (2009) at Design Miami Basel. His works are part of important collections such as Groninger Museum, Netherlands; 2121 Museum, Japan; and MINT Museum, Charlotte, USA.
