Carolina Semiatzh

About

Carolina Semiatzh was born in Sao Paulo, in 1985, and lives and works in Groningen, in the Netherlands. Her work employs techniques from drawing, monoprint, etching, lithography, woodcut, chine-collé, collage and painting; in her creative process, she investigates the complexity and range of materials and surfaces such as black ink, graphite, wood, metal, stone and fabrics from assorted sources

Her interest on drawings and on the relevance of the creative process led her to participate in courses such as professor Charles Watson’s “Provenance and Property”, and “Contemporary Collage” with Professor Rod Judkins at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design, in London.
