Bruno Zorzal

Bruno Zorzal was born in Espírito Santo in 1979 and lives and works in Vitória. He is a photographer, artist, researcher and doctor in Aesthetics of Plastic Arts and Photography from the University Paris 8. After working as a news photographer in Vitoria for three years, he moved to Italy and studied at the Roman School of Photography.
During his studies there, he had the opportunity to direct himself to a deeper aesthetic and conceptual research. He moved away from the strictly informative and objective context of photojournalism and approached the image as knowledge, linking himself to issues inherent to the universe of art. In this context, through the patient gaze over the cities, he sees emerging from the visible tangle in which the issues to be documented in his work strongly linked to the individual are presented.
