Aline Moreno

Brazil, 1992

About

Aline Moreno was born in Campinas, São Paulo, in 1992, and lives and works in São Paulo. Her recent production is inserted in the discussion around the translation and interpretation of nature through language, landscape, in dialogue with the history of its representation and, inevitably, with the tradition of painting. Her works explore the pictorial aspect of the materials themselves, such as wood, cement and stone, and their volumetric construction, closer to a geographical relief, lies between the two and the three-dimensional.

Among the national and international exhibitions in which she participated are “14º Salão Nacional de Artes de Itajaí” (Itajaí, Santa Catarina, 2018), “2ª Bienal das artes”, at Sesc Distrito Federal (Brasília, 2018), and “27ª Mostra da juventude”, at Sesc Ribeirão Preto (Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, 2016).

The artist was recognized with awards at “50° Salão de Arte Contemporânea de Piracicaba” (Piracicaba, São Paulo, 2018), at “Mostra da Juventude do Sesc” (Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, 2016) and received honorable mention from “23º Salão de Praia Grande” (Praia Grande, São Paulo, 2016).
